This is the incessant demand that our teams have received in recent years.
It is with this idea in mind that we have designed our brand new 3U rackmount batteries.
We are very proud to announce that our new rackmount batteries are available in 24V 200Ah (5.12 kWh) and 51.2 V 100 Ah (10.24 kWh). These two products offer the best ratio of energy capacity to occupied space available in the North American market.
Although these 2 new models are assembled with LFP UL9540A, Grade A+ cells and available with self-heating technology, only the 51.2 V 100 Ah version is fully UL9540 certified, in accordance with the requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code.
The 24V version, on the other hand, is also certified in its entirety, but this is an SPE-1000 certification, since the UL9540 certification is not common for 24V batteries.
CERTIFICATIONS
AND COMPATIBILITY
Our brand new 51.2 V 100 Ah 3U rackmount battery is certified with Schneider, Sol-Ark, and LuxPowerTek inverters.
Integration with The Victron systems are currently being prepared and will be finalized quickly!
INNOVATIVE FEATURES
In addition to its new ultra-compact size, our new battery for 48 V offers very interesting features for the user.
Indeed, there is a circuit breaker that complies with the CSA UL1077 standard, essential to ESA inspections for auxiliary protection against current overcurrent , but also many other advantages such as:
- M10 Battery Terminals Compatible with Volthium’s UL Certified Bus Bars or with AWG-4/0 cables
- More than 20 pre-loaded communication protocols
- Automatic update of battery ID addresses, up to 32 batteries per together, and 128 batteries when paired with the Volthium Smart Bridge

COMPLIANCE WITH CANADIAN STANDARDS
The Canadian market today is full of new lithium batteries, but very few meet the new electrical requirements Canadian Electrical Code.
For example, we find batteries that do not have an auxiliary system against overcurrents (required by the UL1973 stationary energy storage standard) such as the Pytes V5 battery, or batteries that are equipped with 25 mm² Surlok terminals, which do not comply with the minimum gauge sizing code (AWG-2/0) such as Pylontech batteries.
There are also batteries on the market that are equipped with M6 terminals, which are incompatible with the such as the Signature Solar EG4 battery.
In addition, according to the complaints received, the manufacturers of the latter battery would have changed the internal cells for a more economical and lower-quality alternative. It is therefore very important for the user as well as for the professional installer to be extra vigilant and to ensure that the batteries they select are certified to ensure the safety and reliability of the installations.
