Thanks to Volthium’s Hilo-compatible synchronization gateway, saving on your electricity bill has never been easier. Our gateway intelligently connects your battery system to the electrical grid. It allows you to automatically use your batteries as an energy source during peak events (formerly known as the Hilo Challenge), ensuring optimal energy management without any effort on your part.

Smart and Automated Management

The gateway directly receives the signal from Hydro-Québec. When a winter peak event is confirmed, the energy demand is automatically transferred to your Volthium batteries, which then power the various circuits in your home.

Unlike other inverters or solutions on the market that may discharge unnecessarily, Volthium’s technology is precise:

• Peak announced: The system activates automatically to maximize your credits or reduce your bill.
• Regular period: Your system remains on standby, fully charged and ready to protect you in the event of a power outage. It never works unnecessarily.

Compatibility

This device is designed to adapt perfectly to your current Hydro-Québec rate plan!

It is 100% compatible with:

• Customers registered for the Flex D rate.

• Customers subscribed to the HILO service.

Maintain Absolute Control

Although the system is automated, you remain in control of your energy thanks to an integrated physical switch.

• ON Position (Automatic Mode): The system automatically participates in peak events. You don’t have to do anything: the gateway controls the inverter to help you save.

• OFF Position (Reserve Mode): The system ignores peak demands and conserves the energy stored in your batteries, even if an event is underway. Example: A snowstorm is announced for the same evening as a winter peak? It is safer to switch the toggle to OFF to keep your batteries full in anticipation of a potential power outage.

Security and Privacy (Private Cloud)

Your privacy is a priority. Volthium distinguishes itself with its sovereign data infrastructure:
